Hello!
Amy Alexandra:
I've been lurking here for ages, so I figured I'd finally sign up. :)
My name is Amy, and I live in Southern Indiana (very close to Louisville, Kentucky). I've been a fan of Vanessa for several years now, and I'm extremely excited about Rabbits on the Run. I can't wait for it to come out! >.<
I'm not sure what else to say, so here are a few tidbits:
- Favorite Vanessa song is probably Afterglow, although I'm also quite fond of The One, Annie, and now Tall Tales for Spring (among others). I can't wait for an album version of TTFS, heheh. :P
- I regularly change my mind on the subject of which of her albums is my favorite...it's always a toss up between Harmonium and Heroes & Thieves. Not that I dislike BNN, because it's great, too. x)
- I'm hoping to start taking piano lessons later this year or next year. Most of my favorite musicians play piano, so I feel like I'm missing out, haha.
- Other artists I frequently listen to include: Regina Spektor, Amanda Palmer/The Dresden Dolls/Evelyn Evelyn, Nicole Atkins, KT Tunstall, Norah Jones, Elvis Presley, and Dean Martin. ^_^
- I have a habit of doing nothing but lurking on pretty much all websites, but I'll try to actually contribute here. >.>
Sorry for the massive post, heh.

Welcome Amy! I lurked for awhile too, and when the official boards went down for the site construction, I felt it was finally time to join so I could share in the lovely community that is here. I also flip between those albums. Not that BNN is bad, just less mature than the other two and I feel I've grown beyond BNN even though I connected with it deeply when I first heard it. I have to be in the right mood to listen to it :) Can't wait to hear all your opinions. Happy posting

Welcome to the forum!
Be careful, once you stop lurking it is hard to go back to lurking! There is always something to say :).
