"Your face is like a paper-cut to the heart" can now be added to my list.

Me too! Such a great line.
That's my fav line from that song :) haha

I also love (not really a line more like a verse but anyway):
Floating on the see, stars are watching me
Current takes me out, what will be will be

I'm in love with this line.

Floating on the sea, stars are watching me. Currents take me out, what will be will be.

I love love love LOVE this line from Afterglow.

Watch the sun, it paints an orange sky
Lay me down and feel the days gone by

I wrote a short prose based on that line a year or so ago. Maybe I'll tweak it and post it on here or something.

I will never cease to fly if held down
These silly little wounds will never mend
And you say we're too young but maybe you're too old to remember
Boy you swallow truth like honey as you spew your lies upon me
Some melodies are best left undone
The goodness is something you don't have to chase 'cause it's following you
Built a poem and kept a rhyme, wrapped our love in golden twine
You're fragile as porcelain
Kneel and pray to a gravestone, but the gravestone never tells
Have you lost your constellation eyes?

*insert the lyrics of "Dear California" and "The Marching Line." I pretty much love most of the songs but...

Dear California, it's been nice to know ya. Tell me, will you miss me when I'm gone? and Do you know a love like a bullet in the chest? are 2 lines that pretty much stick out for me though.
"The road is ahead of us, so let's start out today...The people and the friends that we have lost, or the dreams that have faded... Never forget them."

that is one of my favs too!  I think of my nephew when I hear it (just the line alone, not in the context of the song).  He means the world to me and nothing can compare to the love I have for him (and now my niece as well)

Gosh, so hard to choose!  Here are some that come to mind immediately?

"But the truth is, you'll never need more than this"
"He loves me as I leave - so I'm gonna go"
"That's no trick, that flicker of radiance"
"Do I go too far? Not far enough? Why can't I keep my big mouth shut?"
"Love comes back around again - it's a carousel, my friend"
"All it takes is a song, and I could swear I hear your steps"
"Sad that you could be so lovely, yet so wrong"

Hmmm...let's see...

"We will live like kings under lavender skies" -I Don't Wanna Be A Bride
"Walk London's windy streets, go anywhere but home...looking for secrets only cobblestones hold" -London
"December, crossing on to Chinatown, as the wind starts to cut through" -Hear the Bells

"I will learn to say goodbye to yesterday, and I will never cease to fly if held down" -Twilight

"I've been keeping company with a ghost" -Annie
"I feel the ever after over red wine on the eve of summer" -San Francisco

"Someday when the stories are told, they'll tell of a love like this"-Hands on Me
"Soldiers and heroes come home, and they carry a song, don't live in forgotten times, may this always remind you of the sea under the skies, blue looking glass" -More Than This
"You're always a golden boy, in this girl's heart that you destroy" -The One
"But you'll always be my golden boy, and I'm the summer girl that you enjoy" -The One

I love these lyrics too! Whenever I hear her sing this I always answer to myself "yes" :(

there are specific lines that give me goosebumps in a specific time of my life, maybe cuz i can relate to it at that moment and and maybe cuz it helps me to understand what i'm feeling.
so the lines i love from vanessa's songs are always changing. there are lines from some songs that i can't understand until i experience something like that, which happened to this line in Come Undone:
"there are people in this lifetime that we should never meet,
cuz to be here now without you, well my life's so incomplete.
"
and i love the feeling of when i understood it.
i'm trying to feel it again with rabbits on the run, but i haven't yet.
but there's a line which sounds to me like... like when someone perfectly describes something that you never could describe before:

"Do you know a love like
a bullet in the chest?" - The Marching Line

I will just pick one from each album:

*Never cared, never wanted, never sought to see what flaunted / So on purpose, so in my face, couldn't see beyond my own place" (maybe just because I loved singing it, not sure)

*"You say we're too young, but maybe you're too old to remember." (because I felt that way!)

*"The cracks don't count, it's gotta break in front of me." (because I knew someone who was just like this)

*Not sure what my favorite will be off the new album :)

Lets make this our story, lets live in the glory, time it fades away precious as a song cause someday we'll be gone. - More Than This
We climb Tibetian Mts where we can barely breath, I see the Dahli Llama I feel him blessing me, and all the connstilations shine down for us to see and if you don't believe me just put your hands on me. - Hands On Me
Under The skies blue looking glass- More Than This
It seems like i'm getting closer somehow, a flicker of peace that I finally found, thank you for believing in me now - Heros & Theives
Give me a year or two,       my way and see these mistakes and just when I figured it out well darling it's you i'm without. - Heros & Theives

Who are they anyway. - Who's To Say
And you say we're too young but maybe you're too old to remember. - Who's To Say
As I sit here in this dark room, all I seem to feel is light. - Afterglow
Stronger Than the hands that hold you - Annie

Hmm, How about I just say the whole album 'Rabbits On The Run'  :P I can't choose any lines from this album. They're too many!  :P

"You know I'd walk a thousand miles if I could just see you tonight" -ATM
"We promised each other it's 'til the end." - White Houses
"Who's to say I can't live without you?" - Who's To Say
"C'est la Vie" - C'est la Vie (I really like the quote, even if the meaning is used a lot ;D)
"We hold on to dreams and live like kings, like the days will never end." - Spring Street
"I'm looking for wisdom in all the wrong places." - Heroes & Thieves
"I'd pick the fool any day." - Fools Like Me
"Let's make this our story. Let's live in the glory... 'Cause someday we'll be gone." - More Than This
"Time won't wait, and you'll be late white rabbits on the run." - Carousel
"Love comes back around again. It's a carousel, my friend." - Carousel (again)
"Dear California, it's been nice to know ya. Tell me, will you miss me when I'm gone?" - Dear California
"Never known a day without the quiet regret." - The Marching Line

That's all I can think of at the moment :P
