Vanessa inspired pianist in band "Those Who Run"

Hey guys,

I've been a huge vanessa fan and reader of these boards for quite some time now (at least since pre-harmonium era). I only recently decided to get an account though.
Vanessa's style as a pianist really inspired me to forge my own style and teach myself how to play.

Anyway, I play piano in a band now and I thought I might share a recent music video we filmed. We have a female vocalist, piano and drums.

You guys are great. The first time I've heard "Cavalry", I've liked it. It's the kind of music I want to listen to.

And you do sound like Vanessa but with a different direction. More of the trance and goth inspired theme.

@sobriquest glad you liked it. yeah this song is definitely a bit darker. her lyrics always kind of come out like that. :)

Question: Will your final outcome be this raw? Or you guys getting more strings or something? Just out of curiosity...

I'd love to hear to strings on it. More violins. That would sound awesome.

It's funny it was mentioned cause we just auditioned a violinist today and she worked out great. We're playing our first full set with her this saturday, so hopefully I'll have video to share!
I definitely agree though that strings will help fill out the sound.

I recognized your face pretty quickly--Adam Romano. I'm sorry to say that I unsubscribed from your original channel.  :-X I originally subscribed because of random songs that you uploaded a while back (which I guess are no longer on your channel?).  I just remember listening to it during the winter a few years back (I don't remember the name).  I had no clue you were a Vanessa fan, too... or is that what originally caught my attention?
