To be fair, her advertisement for PETA was encouraging people to get their pets neutered, not her proclaiming that she is against wearing fur.
You can care about animals and be responsible for your own pets, and yet have no problem wearing fur.
I see no problem with wearing fur as long as the animals were not killed violently specifically for their fur.
