performance wise...eh, she's always said she gets nervous doing tv performances. if people want good vocal, check out her tour performances. she's much more comfortable in that setting.

Somehow I have a feeling these judgments were made partially based on the vocal style she used in this performance, which is not only a contrast to 'A Thousand Miles' but unique in itself.

Yikes, I'm NOT a fan of this one.  I hate how she's affecting her voice in these live performances.  You can especially hear it in the bridge.  That's NOT what her voice naturally sounds like, and I think it's worse.

And she does look tired, but cracked-out?  My guess is these are fans of artists who used to compete with Vanessa and there's residual bitterness or something.  Because she definitely looked tired, but I wouldn't go tweeting about it to the masses lol

I just don't see it? She looks great. Not especially glammed up and tired, sure. Maybe I'm too quick to pull the trigger, but it's really sad that you (apparently) can't be a female musician and go out with a natural-looking face without people thinking there's something wrong.
