so sue her for saying "One Thousand Miles".
ah ha! not a bad idea...
but really.... i'm not trying to bag on her, i'm just very diff.
didn't people submit tapes for this contest? wouldn't you know the song is "A Thousand Miles" if you had done the time to research the artist or the contest you're submitting your tape to? *sigh* i'm just saying, with the world of the internet, i would have made a point to know the name of the song, purchased the CD, read the name of the song and listened to it a couple times prior to submitting to do a duet
If i was going to do something, i would make sure i researched Vanessa, her songs, and everything prior to submitting a tape... then when Van was playing Afterglow instead of saying "oh hey, is that a new song?" i would say "Hey, you're playing Afterglow... very nice!" :-P
I enjoyed how real she was tho, getting frazzled trying to learn her part and how she said she had to just stop for a bit. Her compliment to Vanessa when she noted how Vanessa knew exactly what to say to help her learn her part was neat.
/ramble. i watched it again today, this time from the beginning. i dig how they showed her listening to each person and how she recognized the other gal was playing Chopin and she noted that it was a hard piece! Go Vanessa with her classical style as well
