The war is over, yet we know there is still fighting...

After it is all said and done, how do you feel about it now?

I feel the same...We shouldn't have had it.

Yup, there were plenty of WMD in Iraq.

To me, if we can't find them, they weren't such a prevalent danger to necesitate a pre-emptive strike.

What I love about the pro-war people before the war were all "Oh, we need to attack them because they could hit us" but now that we can't find WMDs are switching their ruitine instead of how it was needed just to "liberate" the people of Iraq.  Load of croc.

Reports say no, and It is Saddam.

did we ever kill them?

We killed Iraqi soldiers and innocent civilians.
Quote from: "KULPDOGG"
does that mean we won?

We "won" Operation: Iraqi Freedom.
Quote from: "KULPDOGG"
did we disarm iraq?

there wasn't really anything to disarm....we were "misinformed".

Who are "they"? Al Quada? They put out more threats, and they bombed buildings in Isreal( I think)

and it's spelled serious.

Meh... I really don't care about the pretenses used to go into Iraq. The bastard needed to be removed anyway. As the old saying goes, "If you can't get em for murder, get em for tax evasion."

Civilian casualties are inevitable in any war. Live with it. The world isn't all nice, unfortunately.

lmao!  we don't even have fricken proof that they have nuclear weapons....of course we know that they could seeing as how we sold Sadaam Anthrax and other nuclear intelligence back in '82 (or was it '83, i can never remember)

And the 'weapons of mass distruction' that Sadaam does have can't hurt us....they can't even reach the capitol of Turkey....

All in all, the 'war' was a load of crap. I'm not saying that we shouldn't have tried to take out Sadaam, because he deserves to die. My close friend is from Iraq, and his family left when Sadaam began to gain power...the horrer stories from then are enough to distrub anyone. However our excuse and the way we did it was appalling.....no wonder the other half of the world can't stand us. President Bush doesn't know if he's coming or going, much less whether or not a country poses a threat to us. This war has only dragged us deeper in debt.

We were supposed to be liberating these people, but now we're controlling what kind of government they 'choose' to set up. Like they have any choice anymore! We're forcing them to set up a democracy, which most of Iraq doesn't even want. My Global History teacher is now in Bhagdad setting up these "interem Governments' and he said how the people are extremely resistent...as they should be.

*whew* sorry....went on a little tangent there.....

Didnt we have enough of this before the war, and at the beginning......At this point it doesnt really even matter if it was right or wrong, its done, and the small amount still ensuing isnt really in our grasp.  Other countries who judge all americans based on our government are more hypocritical then we could ever be.   So why the heck start a debate on it, you saw what happened on the o board....you didnt have to actually go fight yourself so be happy you are here and able to post, because we wouldnt be here today if the goverment wasnt doing "something" right

You know what.  people running around babling about how we shouldn't have gone to war because there were no WMD in Iraq... "and LOOK we can't find them so they must not have been there!".... are all ignorant of the real issues and reality in general.

I'm not gonna start another debate, if for no other reason, than for Pete's sanity, but i'm gonna tell you guys to do a bit more research on what has and could have occured before and during the war.

There was a lot more european politics and powerplays than you realize.

They don't just make judgement based on the government, and on here if it gets out of hand the mods will take care of it.

They admited they were misinformed, and there wasn't as many, if any WMD.

Well thats an interesting theory, however our attitudes are actually unknown to them, they only know what they see in the media (newspapers, tv, radio), they do not know what our attitudes are, they know what the attitudes of the government are....so really you just reitterated what i said, thanks
