The Ataris were pretty good. I was somewhat impressed, even though I think the lead singer yelled a little too hard when it wasn't needed at times lol.

ooo... it must be different live, cause i thought they were awesome... they were most of the peoples fave performance (but mine was Ev)
did you see me? lol

My thoughts on tonights show.
The Ataries were pretty good. The interview, FUCK that was rehersed. Straight from the mental rollerdex of answers.
I hate the Black Eyed Peas but Where Is The Love has a good hook. Wonder if its a sample from an oldie. hmm
Evanescence was great! I wasnt diggin Amy's eye makeup tho. But I swear as time has gone by I'm really appreciating John's vocal contributions. He hit it perfect on there.
Quite enjoyable.

i thought the show was awesome! it was so much fun reliving it! and i saw my friend and i like 20 or more times... but you'd have to know where to look to see me. there was only one closeup that i was in, and it was a flash, so i doubt anyone caught it and recognized us! if someone posts a video of it i'll post a picture of us tho! lol. it's cool being on TV!  :D  i cant wait till next wednesday! they cut quite a few songs for the TV show tho! like Gavin deGraw's "Follow Through", The Atari's "Teenage Riot" and "Your Boyfriend Sucks" and Evanescence's "Haunted". i dont really have many comments of the show... since i said it all in my review last week! but it was definatly better live!

heres my review from tonight's pepsi smash!

Yay! Goodtimes tonight! Pepsi Smash was awesome as usual!!!
I went with Brooke, Daniel, Theresa and Jillian! Luckily Jill got a ticket last minute! Viviana was sposed to come… but she couldn’t make it! We missed you girl!
we left the house a lil after 5 and made it to where we were sposed to meet at like 5:45! When we got in line we asked to get the floor tickets and they gave them to us! Yay! We soon got on the bus to go to the studio and made our way to the front of where we were sposed to be waiting, luckily we got pretty close up! After like an hour of waiting we were let in the studio and got the area right next to the middle circle stage! I think it was the best spot to be!
Allison Hannigan (sp?), the girl with the red hair from American Pie and played Willow on Buffy, was the host this time! She was SO nice! Very down to earth and friendly! She came near us a lot and I got to talk to her quite a bit… I complimented her bracelet and she was like “thanks! Lol, none of it’s mine!” and then later she asked me “wasn’t Interpol great?!” I also got her autograph which was cool! She was an awesome host! The best yet I think!
The first act was Simple Plan! They were AWESOME! Seriously… amazing live! And Pierre…. Omg… HOT!! I know I’ve talked about hotties from other Pepsi Smash’s… but he tops them all! They sang “I’d Do Anything” and “Addicted”. And said they’d probably be back later, so we looked forward to seeing them again!
The next act was Michelle Branch! I was kinda thinking she’d be better than she was… cause everyone says she’s amazing. She was really really good! But not one of my fave performances! I thought she was amazing when I saw her at Wango Tango 2 years ago tho! I was looking forward to her the most! People in the audience around me were saying she looked kinda mad/upset so maybe she was having a bad night. She looked really pretty tho and I liked her shirt! She sang “Are You Happy Now”, “Breathe” and “All You Wanted”. I’d defiantly want to see her again in concert!
The next performance was Interpol! They sang “Obstacle 1”. I like the beat but I don’t like the lead singer’s singing style… so I wasn’t a huge fan, but they were pretty good! The thing that was kinda annoying tho is that they had to sing it 3 times… so we all got sick of the song! Lol. The first time one of the guitarists strings broke… the 2nd time his strap broke.
The next performance was Chingy! I wasn’t totally excited about seeing him before I went, but he was my fave part of tonight! Ofcourse he sang “Right Thur” (twice cause I guess the sound was off the first time). He just had such great energy and stage presence on stage (and he looks cute in person)! And he knew how to work the crowd! They spent a great deal of time on the middle stage where we were which was awesome! He grabbed my hand and like most celebs I expected him to shake my hand quick and let go… but he held my hand for atleast 10 or 15 seconds kinda swaying my hand with him and looking at me! I was like dancing with him! It was awesome! I danced with Chingy! Lol. He shock my hand a couple other times during the performance and looked at me a lot (I think it’s cause I stick out cause I’m tall… and I was like right next to him! Lol). Then he came back awhile later to introduce the top 5 countdown and he gave me a high five and smiled and winked at me! I didn’t see him act like this with anyone else… I think we had a connection! Lol, jp jp!
The next performace was Godsmack! They did an acoustic performance of “Serenity” which was pretty cool! And then the lead singer was like “now we’re going to f*cking rock this place!!” and did a  performance “Straight Out of Line” (I think that’s the name). they were good. The lead singer is like tiny tho… I was expecting someone bigger with a voice like that! Lol. Brooke says I do a pretty good impression of him singing! Lol
Then… SIMPLE PLAN came back!! Yay!! Their guitarist was funny! Lol, he was pretending to play the flute and then proceeded to pretend to stick it up Allison’s butt… I don’t think she noticed even tho he did it twice! Lol. They sang “Growing Up” and in the middle of the song some people started jumping on stage! Jillian and I did too! It was soooo awesome being onstage like that!! The guitarist was like “I don’t think ive ever had so many people grab my butt… while I was performing before” Then they sang “Perfect” which is going to be their next single! It is SUCH a cute song! And I shook Pierre’s hand like 3 times! And I touched his shoe at a point too! Lol. Omg… I love him! Lol.
ooo... and remember the camera guy i talked about last week? lol, he remembered me! he was like "hey again!" on the way in! and said "goodnight baby" when i left. and i said thanks to Rob and he heard me! lol, i thought he needed some appreciation after fighting with that jerk near us.
Then we went out… and after an hour and a half of waiting to get on a bus we finally made it back to our car. And we were all starving so we stopped at Rallys and ate in the car before driving home! It was an awesome time tonight! My order of fave performances are:
1. tie between Simple Plan and Chingy
3. Michelle Branch
4. Godsmack
5. Interpol

yeah, and i can attest that she is VERY sweet and down to earth! she talked to us all alot and signed autographs when she can (even tho she knew she might be yelled at by the producers), she cares about the fans! i didnt know she was engaged... but her ring is so pretty! i wonder who she's marrying.

holly, are you going to every pepsi smash? if so, here's what you need to do for me:

After Rooney performs ( i dunno which upcoming one they're playing in, but it's in August), sneak backstage and CAPTURE them for me!.....or just get an autograph for me, which ever one is easiest

glad you had fun  :)

that's okay, i understand! but if you do get a chance to go, you even tryingto get me an autograph would be freakin awesome! i was so mad when i couldn't go see them at lollapalooza, and after the smash they're going on european tour, so it'll be a while before my next chance to see them  :(  anywhos, if you can't make it, it's okay!

Pepsi Smash was awesome tonight! But soooooo long! It took about 3 hours when normally it takes 2! We got spots next to the center circle stage again! Which was awesome!
The host this week was Gabriella Union (sp?) but she was the lead cheerleader of the clovers in Bring It On and starred as Eva in Deliver Us From Eva (with ll cool j). she was beautiful and very very nice!! I met her and got her autograph!
The first band to perform was Staind!!! They did amazing! Aaron (sp?) is a great singer, I love his voice. They did “For You” and “So Far Away”.
The next band was Maroon 5! They rocked!! Adam did awesome and yes Mandy, Ryan is very cute!! They sang “Harder To Breath” and “This Love”.
The next performer was Pharrel! He was awesome! He is so cute! Lol, and I love his singing style! He sang “Frontin’” twice, which is a great song!! I love it. Clipse came out and did his lil rap as well! I almost touched his hand… I was like a millimeter away! Lol.
The next performer was Jason Mraz and he sang “The Remedy” twice! He rocked! And I swear he is like JoJo’s long lost brother!! Lol. They look kinda similar!
The next performer was Mya and she looked great as always! She is also very nice! She sang “My Love is Like Wo” twice. Right before she did it the second time she kinda cut her knee so they had to wait a bit for the bleeding to stop. There was a lil dance break in the song where all these other dancers come up from off stage, like 4 gay guys dressed in bright colors and feather boas! Lol. They were good dancers!
Then Jason Mraz came back and sang “Curbside Prophet” and did awesome again!
Then after a loooong wait Mya came back and sang “Sophisticated Lady” and this time she was wearing these high heeled boots and almost fell, she was joking and was like “first my knee, now my boots, ya’ll are trying to kill me!” lol. She did an awesome job on this song as well.
Then Jason Mraz came back again. it was cute! before he started singing he was like "i love you Mya". he sang “You and I Both”. And he rocked! After he finished his song I ran over to the stage he was on and got his autograph!! Yay!!
Then Mya came back and introduced the Top 5 countdown and I met her and got her autograph as well!
Then came what I thought was the best part of the show… Staind came back for an encore and sang  “It’s Been Awhile”. Omg, they killed it! Seriously awesome job!!! They are amazing live!
Then we all got to leave… and since for once we weren’t the last section to be let out we didn’t have to wait as long for a bus! Lol… but while we were waiting we were all like dying from having to stand for 4 or 5 hours and the guy who was working there was like “cuddle and we’ll survive” so this other girl I went up and gave him a hug cause everyone was like leaving him hanging there! Lol. But seriously… at that point I woulda given anything to sit down!!
I just got home a bit ago and saw my old boss!!! I missed him so it was awesome to see him again, even tho he was kinda intoxicated, lol. My parents, him and my mom’s friend’s family were all over my house and he had brought lobster from his home, Maine! Ahhh… I missed that! But I had an awesome night tonight anyways! And they saved lobster for me to eat tomorrow!! Yay!! I can look forward to that! He’s a great cook! Lol, he makes a living off of making food! Right now I’m eating some of his soup! Yum!
