Here's a picture of sitar master Ravi Shankar jamming out on his sitar at woodstock 1969. He has been a pioneer in new forms of Indian and Western music. He is mostly known in the United States because of his influence on George Harrison and the Beatles in the 60's. His work with Yehudi Menuhin won him a grammy in 1967 for the album "West Meets East" Mr. Shankar is also the father or Nora Jones.
