http://www.access-4-free.com/

$10/mo, and without the proprietary dialers and such. Just a simple PPP connection.

Put simply, AOL are crap. I've been a web developer for around four years and I've been very involved with ISPs as well and it frustrates me that people get sucked in by AOL's advertising. They should be burnt to the ground!!

*ahem*

I'm calm =)

I disagree completely.  No other ISP gives you so much for so little.  ESPECIALLY AOL broadband features.  AOL has the best webmail, the best universal access, the best customer support.  Their spam blocking kinda sucks.  But whatever.

I have used AOL for going on 8 years now but for the last year I have had broadband as my primary ISP and I use AOL's broadbang only connection (which is only 12 bucks a month).

There are advantages to AOL that non-members don't realize or appreciate.

But it's crap!!! I know about this stuff! =)

As you can see I'm in no mood for a constructive debate lol. It's like the old PC / Mac argument. Just pisses me off and in the end it's all down to what you prefer using. If you're happy with AOL then I'm happy for you ; )

I had AOL for about a year and hated it!

It would not even let me upgrade when they had crack headed new versions!

It's doubley crap for me as a web developer, having to design sites that will work in their crappy browser. Well I won't do it! Anyone using AOL deserves for the site not to work as it should! =P
