Usually today a 45, as they're called because of their playing speed, has a hit song on both sides, combining two CD-single A-sides on one disk, because they're mostly only used in jukeboxes now.
I have a moderately large collection of 45's for one person in my room, stuff dating from 1949 to 2002. I have yet failed to find Vanessa Carlton's pretty voice pressed into a piece of plastic anywhere!
If given a choice between buying an album on vinyl or CD, I'll always choose vinyl because I can make a CD copy of it, unless the CD has a bonus the vinyl doesn't have, and I'll go for the CD.
But yes, I am very interested to know what songs that I know of will make the cut for the album and which ones will be B-sides.
