Yes, I drove the freakin 6 hours to Boone (on 3 1/2 hours sleep no less) for the game.
And yes, we USUALLY run a triple option offense (much like Air Force). Unfortunately this year, it's gone down the shitter and it looks much more like a FB or QB dive offense.
If you've ever seen the movie "The Junction Boys" on ESPN, you'll remember the line where Bryant says "And seeing how we MIGHT pass the ball twice a decade...". Well, that's us. We're starting to throw more now since we have no running game this year and our QB has a good arm.
We suck.
Citadel comes up for Homecoming next week. They've got some transfer QB from Clemson. Don't read too much into their win against Furman as Furman was missing like 4 starters including their QB. Citadel ALWAYS plays well at home, but sucks it up on the road. We should come out with a win on Saturday.
An interesting thing happened after the game. App State fans (who were 4-3) felt the need to tear down a goal post after beating a 4-3 team. Neither team was highly ranked, it wasn't a "big" game, and it wasn't even the playoffs. They then rammed the posts into our team bus putting holes in our windshield and a side window. Classless.
App State fans are the worst...
