Ermm isn't it a tribe from germany!? lol, i like her joking- its hard to get that across on the message board. I'm glad she's not pissed off about how RS misrepresented her, and i'm glad that the article wasn't a true representation. Ahh chuckles at her first post.

yeah, that's what i was thinking. German something?? lol. and yeah, it's cool of her not to get all made at RS. i know i would have. once i realized she was joking (took me a while. lol) it's pretty funny when you read it.

germanic tribes around the time of the roman empire (first few centuries ad)  included the visigoths, ostrogoths, etc. Although I'm not sure if they have anything to do with our connotation of the word goth nowadays.

as for the azriel reference...I'm sure shes talking about goth talk on snl lol

oh one of their sketches that they did over and over was with molly shannon and chris katan called goth talk...its basically like a satire on how goths cant be dark and mysterious all the time and they have to have regular ol' jobs and go to school and stuff too...its funny lol. anyway, they stopped doing it after molly shannon left I suppose.

anyway...the NESSAconnection, is that christ katans characters name was azriel abyss or the like.

i think it was vanessa posting, and we're all guilty of grammatical errors so I'm not takinging "cuz" and the wrong use of "here" to heart.  I love it that she can joke about it and all the freaking out people were/are doing about this whole "goth" stuff.

yes it does, however the image of goth has changed over the years...it's a long history!  But it does have a lot to do with the Germanic language family which includes English, German, Dutch, and Gothic.

we learned some of the germanic tribes in history, wow I just typed that and the man on tv said German right when I typed germanic, anyway, and we didn't find anything gothic...except I do know of the "gothic" font...
