most of them are bass and melody arranged  :cuss:

There is only two that sounds right to the recording and thats You Are My Rock and Fragile, dunno if it's worth buying it for them.

But don't you like paying full price for the same notes written on lines right under each other?

This is from Seth on the Delta forums.  I haven't tried it

Quote from: "Seth"

Anyway, I got the sheet music for Mistaken Identity today on Sheet Music Direct, and decided that it was actually quite shoddy. Delta plays something far nicer in the song, and also in the bonus DVD in the track-by-track section. So I decided to try and transcribe the song - it's based more on what you hear in the track-by-track, but I adapted it to make it more complicated... Oh, just in case anyone is wondering, this isn't illegal, don't worry - I'm not posting a copy, it's more like an interpretation...

I thought that maybe you would like it if I posted it. It took ages to do, and I'm quite pleased with it... Oh yeah, the only bit that I think is incorrect is the trill thing at the beginning (and at a few other points in the song), which I should have written as a triplet...  <_<

Uh, yeah... Anyway... Oh, if you're using a 56k modem, it might be a bit slow because they're quite high resolution... so if you print, make sure you select it to 'fit to page'...

Tell me what you think. If you need any help if something's not working or it doesn't sound right then tell me.  :P

Here it is:

Page Five
Page Six
Page Seven
Page Eight
Page Nine
Page Ten

Sony has either used copies of the compositions prior to final adjustments
in the recording studio; as the order of the tracks suggest  and or Delta
wasn't available to edit the masters for her WiSE Publications Rush Job

no no Aaron, the recordings are too complicated for an average singer and pianist to perform.  If they include the vocal melody in the arrangement the singer will sound better because they could hear which note to sing...plus more ppl are going to buy it if the arrangement for piano sounds like the song so it can be played without someone singing.

This is Scott saying "don't confuse me [Scott]  for average."

nu uh...when I say average I mean, my piano teacher's singing pupils, they always sing with the melody played on the piano.  And so do most other vocal teachers I know, they don't let them try singing on their own till they are comfortable.

+

Lot's of ppl in my class when they play a song, they never sing with the melody played with the bass + melody on their instrument. Even Buskers do it.

To sum it up its been commerically adapted to help singers sing, rather than help performers perform.

Funny story...I tried performing with my cousin...I think it was NMNI, but it took her a while to get it, because instead of playing the IE SCLTNS version I played my version of the recording and....UGH i had to let her sing with me playing and Delta playing a couple of times before she GOT where the melody came in.

Perhaps this will help in uncovering new vocal talent here to succeed Delta
