"DELTA power proved too much for Kylie Minogue as the pair went head to head on the pop charts yesterday.
Minogue's new album, Body Language, entered the charts at No. 2 -- more than 3000 copies behind Goodrem's Innocent Eyes.
Body Language was expected to go straight to the top, but sources said it sold 25,433 copies compared with 28,593 for Innocent Eyes.
It was a disappointing response after more than 160,000 Minogue albums were shipped to record stores around the country.
Kylie's last album, Fever, went straight to No. 1.
Goodrem has now been on top of the charts for 25 weeks, equalling John Farnham's record for Whispering Jack.
Innocent Eyes has been in the charts for 35 weeks.
Minogue's single, Slow, debuted at both No. 1 in Australia and UK. "
