i know technically its a fruit but i say its a veggie. ive always thought of it as one and i always will lol

it's part of the "fruit" family in the vegetable group...so I think it is both...

Did you know there was a fruit family in the vegetable group?

i chose fruit though.

it's a fruit....I don't know why though. I really like tomat(e)o's in pasta. :)

A "fruit" is a seed bearing structure derived from the flower, and is not
necessarily edible. A "vegetable" in human dietary terms, is any edible,
non-seed bearing part of a plant.

I chose fruit cause it technically is. I think fruits grow above ground (as the tomato does) and vegetables grow below ground.
But i still think of it as a vegetable because i always think of fruits as being sweet, unlike the tomato. The cherry ones are a lil sweet, but not enough.

and It's the seed thing, not where it grows. . . .

besides, you'd get different opinions from a chef, than you would a botanist . . I'd tend to think
