I agree with Andrew.

It's great that you don't want to hurt someone's feelings or what not, but delete other's opinions?  It's kind of a turn off to come here, saying "well your opinion doesn't count because we care about the other person" what I was saying was what I felt...It got deleted.  I felt that I was being extremly nice in that thread.  If you want to kill a good thing, go ahead... People have "bad days" yea..but it isn't hard to restrain from posting (yea, yea I read some of my posts...).  I am not gonna be all like "it's okay!" because to me, it is not okay.  I don't know how many will back me up, but that's how I feel.

I agree that there were wrong doings.. on both sides, and I'm one to be able to move past things, as I have personally spoken to manda, but I really don't believe its fair to delete peoples posts, I read joey's post last night and I didn't believe it was that offensive at all.  I want to say that.... lately I've been seeing a LOT of unnecessary posts, and wasn't it one of the things we were trying to get away from.... just making silly posts?  This board isn't about post count.. its about content of posts.  I'm just extemely tired of seeing posts that have NO point (and i know that once in a while everyone does it).  Also, how fair is it to delete peoples posts (unless they're truly offensive)... people should be allowed to state their opinion... and i know its not just joey.  Idk.. I guess I'm just really sick of this whole situation...

Now back off and if you don't have anything nice to say, why even bother posting?

In the mean time, American and internet culture says "do something stupid, and you WILL get yelled at for it".  Which is the way life should be.  Every action has consequences.

I do agree in principle with your point Andrew. However- there are ways of 'yelling' at people so that they feel they can better themselves. This principle you state assumes that people never make mistakes, and everyone makes mistakes. I'm certainly not suggesting that people don't suffer the consequences of their actions, i'm just suggesting there are other ways of going about it than yelling. (But by all means yell when they're arrogant about it and don't apologise. lol)

How about this Andrew, instead of a Happy Section, lets have the bitch section. We can go in there and whine and fuss and complain about anything and everything we want. No rules. And if people don't like hearing that NOT EVERYONE LIKES THEM ALL THE TIME, then they don't have to come in the section. Then the rest of the foum can be happy happy bounce bounce lets go blow bubbles and play hopscotch.

manda-panda is right. We all have our bad days. I havne't been here that long. I just know that I am here cause I like Vanessa Carlton. I love the music. Music is my life. It has gotten me through a lot of battles.

So.. everyone.. group f-in hug.

Worst.  Idea.  Ever.

Group hugs never accomplish anything other than pushing the problem back so the NEXT time it happens it will be 10 times worse.

Problems are solved via discussion, planning, execution and resolution, not sentimentality.
