finding a job is stressing me out... I am the worst at finding one.. I'm very spoiled and they usually fall on my lap.  This time I'm really looking.  Anyone else intimidated to find a job?  What do you guys do? Any tips?
I still need to make cover letters for a couple jobs...

You should go into website graphics for a major singer. Just talk to some of the people at official record label sites. :)

ohh for some reason I would hate to sit behind a computer all day doing layouts and stuff...it would get boring after a while. but who knows...maybe it would be fun for you, Nicole.

When I turn 16 I'm going to get a job at CVS so I can get percriptions for my dad cheaper.

That happend to me too.  jobs have always just landed in my lap and two years ago that all changed.  I got layed off and was out of work for 18 months.  That really sucked.  i was sending out 5-17 resumes a day and was not even hearing from anyone.  That is the worst part.  just not hearing back.  WTF people.  you dont even have the balls to give a call back?

i work at a grocery store. i don't think this is what you're getting at by mentioning getting a "job", but just in case you are considering it- DO NOT GET A JOB AT A GROCERY STORE.

alright it's not so bad. just repetitive work that is crushing my creative, fragile psyche.

your lucky your over the age of 18 though, because I can't find any jobs, I think I might work for Vons, Hollywood Video, or some supermarket. They pay good and the benefits are great.

Just be yourself, find something that interests you, and speak up.

Well I just started at the boys & girls club today, but it is just for my community service hours for highschool. Umm, it is still pretty easy though. I was bored most of the time, just because today was a weird day- but you usually have something to do.. help kids with their homework (tho I suuucked when it came to the math, I feel so dumb) play games with them, craft's, stuff like that. I mostly helped them with their homework today.

But yeah, that'd be the funnest I can think of.. and even if you hate kids it can still be fun. I get so iffy around little kids, but it wasn't that bad. This little girl made me a cute drawing of just colors- haha too adorable.

I've applied for 4 jobs in my whole life.

I've had 4 interviews.

I've had 3 job offers.

The other place didn't hire me because I was 15.  Blah.

I dread the day when I have to join the real work force.

I dig my part-time gig at the bookstore.
I think you underestimate the level of my sneakiness

my friend worked at coldstones!  Everytime I would visit him I'd tip him a dollar to make him sing, lol, cause they have to!

The only job (besides babysitting, petsitting and stuff like that) that i've had is working at a food store. It's based in maine though, so i only work with them when they're traveling out here! I like doing that though... they said i was good at it cause i'm personable and it's fun. But alas, that job fell in my lap, so i have no advice.
