They are like the Strokes with a female lead.  If you like the strokes, check them out.  I am not "wow'd" yet, but I like the new CD.
If you are reading this, you are probably on my ignore list.  Click here to return the favor

I like Maps but I haven't heard anything else by them.

My gosh they were great tonight on the MTV Movie Awards! Instead of just playing live on a side stage, they actually had a video/camera crew make their live performance look just as if it were a pre-recorded video, and what not.
However, as awesome as it was, at the very end, as the camera panned away, you could see the lead singer just standing there. As the crowd cheered, tons of rose petals were being dumped on top of her. It was a great performance! You could tell it was live on stage. :)

I love this band!  It's nice to see something original and quirky for a change. :)

Their next album which is due out in March or May or something.  It's going to be a concept album about Karen O.'s cat.  The first track is about the cat's birth, and so on.

I'm not kidding about the concept album.  I've read about this from multiple sources.

If you like Fever to Tell, you should check out their EPs.  They're great.

i love their new song Gold Lion i cant wait to hear the whole album

and the Album is called Show Your Bones
gently they stir, gently rise
The dead are newborn awakening
With ravaged limbs and wet souls
Gently they sigh in rapt funeral amazement
Who called these dead to dance?
Was it the young woman learning to play the ghost song on her baby grand?
