Well, a bunch of people are starting to have animated sigs so I tried to make one myself.

My sig is, well, in the sig spot.  I made it in Adobe ImageReady.  Jw, for all the other peeps that make animated sigs, what prog do you make them with, and how do you make the file size not so huge?!  I think the one I did was 128 colors, so I lowered the quality, and it is still pretty big.

I do all the design work for it in Photoshop, then I use Animation Shop to put it together.  To keep filesize down you can do a couple things....

- Plan your sig so it compresses well, keep it simple (at least around the animated area)
- Colours, obviously the less the better. Just remember that using 128 colours is only going to reduce filesize by 1/8th compared to 256.
- Keep the animation simple using each frame wisely.
- Morphs are cool, but waste file size.

Um...yeah...well, I'm sort of new here, and I was wondering if someone could make me a sig? I don't really have any preference for what you put in it, but Could you make it say "Lizzy"? Thanks, I appreciate it.

I use ImageReady, too. It's cool because you can play around with the optimization settings until it looks right and is small enough. And illogical is right, use as few frames as possible without making your animation look weird. All I can say is I just play around with settings and delete excess frames until it's right :?

at least i can say

i loved you all the way

On average, the animation sigs you make, how many frames are there?  I think the one I did has 40 frames.  Haha, it started out like 175 when I imported the mov file, that was way too many.
