Well, the radio station actually wasn't really on top of things...we didn't get a sneak peak of Harmonium :? However, we all got SIGNED copies of the radio single version of White Houses!
So anyway, we got there at about 5:15, and had pizza et al in their conference room. After a little bit, Vanessa came in and passed out the WH CDs. I really should have bugged her to play All I Ask, that was my chance...
After that, she went out of the room, then came back and we got to take pictures with her. I know that people have pondered about her height before (though I'm not sure if that pieques anyone's interest now) but I think she's about 5'10", maybe 5'11"; I'll see once I get my picture (so yeah, just some random info there :razz: ) After that, she went into the studio and performed White Houses and ATM...her vocals sounded
amazing. What we've heard on the earlier radio shows was really just her still waking up in the morning, I'm sure. Let (yep, she came with me
) held up a sign to their little recording studio window to tell her "YOU SO ROCK!" And then after she was finished performing, the station kicked us out.
As we were driving away, we saw her coming out of the back to get into her car; I started to roll down the window to ask her to play "All I Ask" on tour (the tour by the way she said should start end of October or sometime in November after Harmonium is released); she headed straight back inside. lol
All in all, it was great, and I can now say that I have met Vanessa and seen her perform live before
