the song i'm currently learning is AFTERGLOW. the song's pretty easy, but the bridge and instrumental break are the most challenging, but i'll muddle through it.

'All I Ask' sounds a lot like 'The Promise' by Micheal Nyman, except it's a little slower. she must have the 'Pure Moods' album. but does anyone know if the Baronessa's version of 'Papa' is accurate? i need a few reviews before i print it out.

and by the way, where is the transcribsion to 'All I Ask'?

Thanks for the transcription! There´s only one problem: I think Red Ditty is in 6/8, no in 4/4.

Does anybody have studio version for Red Ditty?  :o

I have a studio version, which I believe was released on the B-side of some single, but I don't remember which.  I'll post a yousendit link Tuesday when I'm at school, unless someone else beats me to it.

Hey, thanks for the comments... and you're welcome.

I'm not sure if Vanessa actually plays fifths in her right hand or just single notes (on "Papa"). I never watched the video to transcribe it, just did it by ear. So if you find it tricky, you could probably stick to the upper notes in the RH but do LH in fifths.

Hey there Nessaholics

I just recorded a video of myself playing Papa, if you want to see how to play it. Enjoy! (Sorry it's not great quality, but I figured I'd keep the size small.)

Scroll down the page and click the "FREE" button in the table. Then scroll to the bottom of the page it takes you to. You will see a 'Download Ticket' that will let you download the file after waiting so many seconds.

well, thank you for that little snippet. it was a little too short, though. short, but it's very much like how Van plays it.

i'm currently working on 'Afterglow', but i'm having the hardest time with the bridge and instrumental break. but i'm working on it, though. i haven't printed out the last page, and probably never will, b/c i got the rest of the song figured out after the break is over.

...  =blink=  =blink=  =blink=  Wow.  All I saw were hands moving extremely fast, playing something sounding nearly identical to the original.  Didn't really help me, though it was EXTREMELY amazing...  O_O  x_x  I want to be able to play like that!  ToT

it's very much how Van plays it, so if i had any doubts whether or not your transcribsion is accurate, then all of my doubts have been laid to rest. but there's only one problem with your playing; you could've added more 'ooph' or pizzazz to it to make it more intertaining, b/c as a performer, i believe in someone having stage prescence.
