yeah I feel soo bad for her. She always kept saying how hard she's been working how much we're going to love it. how much time was spent on the album. I personally love it, but some people dont. I just feel sort of bad. But I have faith whoot for the second single!

I feel so bad too...Harmonium is a true work of art that should be appreciated by everyone....or at least most people!! *sigh*

About the part where it went wrong; I think WH wasn't the right choice for the first single. It had too many similarities to ATM, plus I think that the vid wasn't very hip. I love her dancing, it's not that, but it just missed something that made it so special. Why not show in the video what the song says? How she arrived in that college house etc. That would make it a lot more telling and then it would probably appeal a lot more to the youth of these days...

Anyway; second single? Go for Private Radio or She Floats (but thenradio edited, so without the whole screamy part etc.) + a good vid!

I say go for either Private Radio or San Francisco. I mean, San Francisco is being SORT OF promoted on the Charmed Book of Shadows soundtrack. Why Not?

Anyways, if she doesn't release a second single, her album would still be in the Crapper section. Man, she really needs to promote this album!

What's flopping is her promotional department. She has to do it herself and/or her fans have to help her out.

And get the fuck off of BV. Everyone who knew about that site went out and bought AT LEAST one copy of Harmonium the freaking day it came out, regardless. His site did NOT hurt her sales. Poor choice of debut single, a video that wasn't exactly eye-catching, close to no promo, THAT'S why it flopped, not because of Kevin.

And the same person who has promoted the hell out of Vanessa for 3 years, causing dozens and dozens of people to buy one (or in some cases, several) of each Vanessa CD. Don't forget that, either.

... and for a general commentary, most of us here have more than one copy of Harmonium, and that tells you right there the hardcore fans are doing their part. She has absolutely no label promotion or direction, because if she did there would be a new single by now. And by playing colleges, casinos, and just hugging the east coast she really isn't doing herself any favors nationwide, either.
