the 24-year-old Carlton is trying to show us that she's matured since 2001's Be Not Nobody.  Singing about unicorns in "Half a Week Before the Winter" does not help her cause.  Amid the dippy Dear Diary lyrics and gratuitous string sections, I have to admit, I'm a dumbass critic who had to get my story in on time or else I'm gonna get kicked in the can AGAIN for being  such a nimrod ass. Vanessa's music is supreme. I'm just too big of a tool to know it. Please forgive my ignorance.

Hey now. MJ is the shit. His last album though.. let's not discuss that.

But I don't get the song either. WHY was she singing about vampires and unicorns? :|

Hey, I love Vanessa, but she's no Laura Brannigan.

Still Katia, the album is no Thriller. Or the Chronic. Or Sgt. Peppers.

Therefore, it wouldn't get an A from EW.

Hell, BnN got a C-.

LOL... Keith... i wasn't defending any of that.

I was simply answering my opinion on the vampires and unicorns thing... cuz i too thought it was crazy to have a song about vampires eating unicorns :)

*goes to put thriller in the CD player and dance along*

*dances with you to "Wanna be Startin' Something"*

I find "Winter" to be quite random. I think she was trying to be all deep and meaningfull with her lyrics, but really, she ends up sounding just plain silly.

*sigh* Yet the "Harmaniacs" think this album is LyKE OMg!!! the Best AlBUm EVAR!!!!1!1!!11oneone!!1!!!thistypinglikea12yearoldAOLerfadisgettingold!!1!!
