I've always wondered as to the origin of the term "pound" for money. I know the proper name is "pound sterling". Does this mean that, once upon a time in Merrye Olde Englande, it actually meant that it was a pound of sterling silver?
As for a two-dollar coin, I don't think we should ever try it in the States; our two-dollar bill is too cool! But I
love staring at a Canadian toonie.
Has any of you ever stared at a toonie for about 30 seconds, and then glanced over at a solid white wall? Wicked, eh? 8O
