Sarah, Plain & Tall (The Play)
« on: October 19, 2005, 07:28:50 pm »
On November 10th or November 12th, come see "Sarah, Plain & Tall" at Creek Wood High School in Charlotte, Tennessee. Tickets are $5.00. It would be really great if we could actually sell out a show because in the three and a half years that Creek Wood has been open, a play has never sold out, mainly because our auditorium is really big. So please come see it. It's not going to be boring. It's actually adapted from the book in such a way that it's interesting. It's a perfect date show!

Director - Christa Nichols
Anna Witting (Adult) - Charlotte Smith
Sarah Wheaton - Season Dawson
Jacob Witting - Dylan Miller
Caleb Witting - Nathan Brown
Anna Witting (Young) - Mandy Howell
Matthew Nordstrom - Colton Fultz
Maggie Nordstrom - Erin Bloom
Rose Nordstrom - Daphne Pardue
Violet Nordstrom - Kourtney Sadler
William Wheaton - Jeremy Chalifour
Meg Wheaton - Megaera Dannenmier
Judsen Moffet - Donald Kullman

Your sig is too big. I thought I'd post it here since what your talking about is in it. Read this: http://forums.nessaholics.com/viewtopic.php?t=355

I've pm'ed you the same issue about another sig just so you wouldn't get warned by a mod to help ya out, but I guess you didn't understand  :? Hopefully that will help.

I would completely be there if I still had the travel budget I used to have.  Unfortunately, I won't be able to leave the Memphis area again this year.

Geez, you guys are jumping down this kid's throat. Chill out.

I would go because I love Sarah, Plain & Tall, but I live in Knoxville, which is too far away. Soooo I can't.

it's more like an advertisement...is it really any diff than posting, "Hey go see this movie" or "Hey go see Vanessa in Ohio"?

edit:
although I do think the title of this thread could've been totally different.

Yes. It's only applicable to people in Tennesee. Movies are of interest to everyone (which is why there is a whole forum area devoted to discussion of them).

or "Hey go see Vanessa in Ohio"?

Yes. This is a Vanessa board, not a Creek Wood High School board.

You don't need to create a whole thread to advertise a small play at a small theater which will only be of interest to an extremely small portion of board members and a waste of time for everyone else. A link in his/her sig would have been enough for that sort of thing.

IMHO.

true about the sig.

the entire thread could have been dedicated a discussion about the actual play, "Sarah, Plain and Tall",  with a mention of it being presented in this person's school.

that probably would've been the best way for cwfultz to handle the topic.

regardless...a mod moved it to fron Gen. Chat to this section.  so atleast its in the right place.

Um.. well anyway, the play might be a little dull, but it's a good one for dates and when we do the play cuts for the school, that's what we're going to advertise it as: a date play. Hopefully, more students will come that way.
