Mike's latest post on LPU, BTH Q and A:

Q: How long did the Breaking The Habit music video take and how hard was it to make?

A: the process of making this video was totally different from any of our other video experiences before. originally, the conceprt was written for live-action (non-animated), but when joe realized it would be too expensive, he began exploring other options. coincidently, he ran into a guy from GDH, the animation company, at the bookstore. soon, we were making plans to do the video in an anime style.

they shot rough band footage on basic DV cameras, and the animation team took that back to japan for reference. joe kept in constant contact with them for the entire length of the process. finally, just over a month ago, joe went to japan to help them finish up the last few parts; after editing, we had a finished product.

i have to say this is joe's best work. we are all really proud of him and the video. we hope you enjoy it as well.

Yeah, I've rarely been on the LPU or LP.com boards for the past week or so b/c of that whole thing...It was so crazy all these kids couldn't get the concept of REPLYING IN ALREADY MADE POSTS ON THE SAME TOPIC! It was like 3000 morons! It was like every thread "MIKE'S GONNA BE ON PUNK'D!!!!!!"

I don't have cable though, so I didn't get to watch it, but I read the many reviews...haha

it was pretty good, they had him park in front of a restaurant, and then while he was in there they put a fire hydrant in front of his car, and then put a hose through his car from the hydrant with a fire truck. then they had the police come to give him a ticket and some lady blamed him for hurting his dog or something like that...

i know what you mean bout annoying people on the boards - the Ben jelen board gets crazy sometimes with people posting 3958739458743 different threads in the wrong forum! Or the Rooney board which is the worst i think....i don't even bother to post :-P

Yeah, I just announced my departure of the LPU. Not like a sobby 'you all made me mad' type, but saying I couldn't afford LPU ($25 a year) anymore, so I would only be around on the board a month or so...

I have high status on the LPU and LPST, and throught the LP internet communites, this should be interesting...I wonder if they'll kick me out of the street team since I'm not re-joining LPU... :?:

yeah, I didn't have enough money to renew my LPU, and that was quite a long time ago.  They haven't kicked me out of the LPST tho... so I don't think they'll kick you out.

I havn't gotten the LPST shirt yet, but I liked the LPU shirt. There's actually a pic of me in the yearbook wearing my 2.0 shirt, haha! But I love the email address, b/c I don't have to load the hotmail.com or yahoo.com page or anything, I can just check it while I'm on the board, plus it's easy to remember.

YAY!! Very exciting and that is going to be a kickass CD!

Also a post of mine tonight:

Quote from: "Meh"
As most of you know I live in South Carolina and I am a cross country runner.

Today I was on the South Carolina runner message boards, and I saw a thread about a local runner was going to be on 20/20 with Barbara Walters tonight. I had seen that boy post before so I thought it was cool, I'd check it out, plus a local kid on a show like that sounded good.

I was kinda wondering why there'd be a runner on 20/20, but I sat there, and I had the tape recorder taping it. It comes on and it turns out that it was the boy who had a rare disease that basically causes his legs not to move, not paralysis, but they'd just be there. So his legs were amputated. He was the boy I had heard about who still ran track, but doesn't have any legs. It was something like sacralagenisis. They also mentioned Greenville (where I live) so that was cool!

So the story progressed and they were showing parts of him hanging out with friends and they were at a bowling alley and HEY YA! was playing and he was singing along and talking about how much he loved music. They said something about music, and he said that no matter how much screaming is in a song or loud music he still hears the lyrics, he likes to understand and hear the lyrics. Then he said, "My parents always hear my music and think how can you listen to that crap, all they do is yell, but I don't hear the yelling, I hear what they're yelling! I hear, 'In the end it doesn't even matter, the journey is more important than the end or the start,' and they may be yelling it, but that is a very valid point." [Exact Quote] They also said "he knows music back and forth." And he mentioned a couple of Limp Bizkit lyrics...

It was a very nice story, regardless of the LP content, definately enough to make a person thankful for what they have.
