Here's my Brainstorms Review.

I didn't enjoy reading that purely because I think what you wrote is rubbish.

But whatever, each to their own and all that.

Umm... could you please explain how what I wrote is rubbish? I, having written it, know that it's a very honest review. Is it rubbish because I didn't give it 100/100? I wouldn't give 2001: A Space Odyssey 100/100. If it were out of 10, I would've given it a 9, which is damn good.

I'm sorry to hear that.   :(

You can send me a check or money order in the mail, if you'd prefer.  Just let me know if you'd like the address.

p.s.  I don't think the review was rubbish.  It was just an opinion.

No, you definitely didn't trash it.  But you were honest, which is a good thing, even though (of course) I would not mind hearing from everyone that I am the best singer-songwriter in the history of the entire universe.

oops i guess i didnt make that clear. no she has no specific problem with you, she just has this preconcieved idea about my music before she hears it. Like when i put in the wreckers she said "now i could listen to this alright. who is it?" and i said michelle branch cus she would know the name. of course then she was all "ach i dont like HER" haha, see what a crazy she is

anyway love the cd shannon, keep it up :D

I'm thinking about buying a copy for my sister.  She might like it, and even if she doesn't, that'd be another one sold. 8)

What is wrong with the review? He says very complimentary things like: "Will someone just give her a record deal, already?"

That's very positive.

"I tend to not enjoy Shannon's music when it's upbeat and happy-sounding."
-just remove the word Shannon and there's my general feeling that I share with many, many listeners and lovers of music.

I haven't heard the CD, so reading the review makes it sound like something I would definitely want to listen to. It doesn't discourage me at all.

We all love Harmonium, and that got some shitty reviews, even though we think it's brilliant. Welcome to the world of art.
"Music produces a kind of pleasure that human nature cannot do without."
-CONFUCIUS

"It is hard. You have to fight for who you are everyday" -VANESSA CARLTON
