I Tried it a couple of weeks ago, no reply yet though.

a couple of fans have said that they have wrote fanmail and have recieved a reply, i think you just gotta be lucky i guess.

When I wrote, I didn't receive so much a reply as I received a response.  My avatar picture to the left is from an 8-by-10-inch glossy photo she autographed to me and sent from San Francisco, which, of course is where she started spending a lot of time last year.

I can't remember what address I wrote to a while ago, but I never ended up getting a reply... this was years ago though... The thing that really seems to work is if you can somehow get to a show and get someone to give her the letter there (maybe even send it to a venue??)... I've gotten a lot of autographs from her this way... and she'll reply as long as inside there is a self addressed stamped envelope.

I'm sure that if she manages to see your letter then she'll reply.  She really is the sweetest person to her fans.  I met her in Vermont, in fact got right in her tour bus, and she was really sweet to me.  She signed a bunch of my stuff and took pictures with me and my friend, and talked to us for a while.

You know what, I think I'm going to write her a letter.  A letter I know she would see if it ever got to her.  Does anybody know if Vanessa wears contacts or glasses?  I've never seen any or heard them mentioned, so I assume her vision is really good.

I wrote to her right after her Boston Concert, and I didn't think well enough to send it to the next venue. I sent it to the A&M address I've seen floating around, so I'm not even expecting her to get it until she's done touring (end of April) so I may not get a response until late summer...if I ever do. It doesn't really matter so much to me if she sends me anything, I just really want her to get the letter and read it. I've had luck with fanmail in the past with other Celebs, so who knows. Maybe Vanessa will reply?  :wink:
