Hey all, I'm still shock from last night! It is definately one of the most amazing experiences of my life! I had to work from 1-5 so my sister jess and i went up to the field house at 5:25 and met up with Mike and Lindsay, then later Emily, Gina and Mel.
We were split up seating wise in the beginning, Mike definately had the best seat in the house, but around two-thirds of the way into the show we crowded up front and kept getting yelled at by the staff but we stayed up there anyway! I was so happy she played all my favorite songs--Swindler, Unsung, Wanted and Sway. Paint it Black kicked ass, and Ameriteen was awesome, I'm so lucky to be one of the first to hear it! Oh yeah, and we can't forget the burp, lol!
After the show my dream came true when I got to meet the band, and Vanessa! It all went to quickly, I remember standing by the bus for what seemed like forever and then getting pushed every which way by the crowd as we lined up to see her. There were probably 30 people there and she met everyone. I don't even remember what I said to her, I think it was something like "I can't even begin to tell you how much I love your music, I've been a fan for over a year and I'm so glad to have you at my school..." or something really cheesy like that. I probably seemes like such a nerd. Anyway, she was like "you're so sweet, nice to meet you" and I got a pic with her. I still can't believe it.
Have fun at Ithaca tonight to those who are going I wish I was there with you! I want a full report ASAP, complete with cover page, lol.
