the reason why I don't like big yellow taxi is because vanessa just says ooo bop bop ooo bop bop. I wish she would have had a bigger part in the song.

Yeah. I didn't vote for it though because I don't consider it a "Vanessa Carlton Song"... she didn't write it, doesn't play piano, hardly sings, etc.

I think it's C'est La Vie for me although I'm not crazy about Prince either and it's far and away my least favorite on BNN but there's just something about CLV that irks me. My least favorite part of a Vanessa song is by far the ghastly screaming in She Floats.

She didn't write it, but it is on her album...well, that's obvious... but I would consider it a VC song because of that... primarily, it is a Stones song, first and foremost, but it is also a nessa song... and I prefer her version

the part of the song PARADISE when she says, "don't pretend to holdit in, just letit out." After a few seconds more of that section, she starts to incorperate werid moans into the song. The lyrics + that terrible sound just makes me dislike that part. Despite that road bump, the rest of the song rocks

That song really harkens back to her early days.  If you listen to the version on her demo tape, you'll see that there never was much evolution done to it, so you're hearing some fairly raw Vanessa, when compared to most of the other songs on 'BnN' that have revised vocals and richer instrumentation.
