confusion

I hear alot of you say that the harmonium album is quite dark, and ive heard vanessa say tht but i dont understand why cuz there are more songs on harmoniim that are reli upbeat compared to be not nobody. I dont reli understannd it? :?:

"She Floats", "The Wreckage", "Half A Week Before The Winter", etc...I think you get my point.

I can see it in those songs but most of the others are quite happy like san francisco, afterglow, white houses, whos to say (in a moving on sense), but i do see why it is classed as darker now. I never understood the unicorns and vampires in the song half a week b4 the winter wat are they meant to represent?
