My main workhorse for music is Finale. I use it mostly for transcribing and arranging music, along with some light sequencing. I like the autotranscription features which records what I play on a keyboard or a monophonic instrument by use of a microphone. The Garritan Personal Orchestra that it ships with is awesome. I might upload some samples after I'm done with finals. A big downside to it, however, is that the interface sucks. Oh... and it's expensive, but hey... I didn't pay for it. It's in the labs at school.

I see the issue of pre-release leaks as distinct from that of piracy in general. I make no apologies about downloading pre-releases. I don't do it because I'm cheap (although, I am). I do it because I'm anxious to hear the new music. Of course, once the album drops, I will do the right thing. I preordered Harmonium long before I downloaded a leak of it.

I'm no Scientologist, but the Xenu story is true. However, its importance is overemphasized. You have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars and years of time before you get to the point where they tell you about Xenu. It's hardly a central doctrine as most people aren't taught it.

I don't think it's a redesign. If it were a redesign, they would have a smooth transition. Something like this indicates to me that a server or two took a crap and died.
