Well, I sent Vanessa a letter, two photos, and a little something for her, and I haven't gotten a reply back. I know it will take a while, even though she isn't really doing anything right now. But does anyone have any information on how my chances are? I didn't read anything about successes. But does anyone have any input? Should I expect an answer? Thanks!

I've written to her three times (once via CAM a few years ago, and twice to venues in which she was playing). No luck : (
I don't think she replies, sadly.

Nevermind, her music is enough <3

OMG!!! I cannot believe this has happened!! LOVE IT!!
Sadly cannot view more than 28 seconds of it but the idea of Vanessa (especially), Ingrid, Pharrell ++ all bundled up in a Sara B video makes me think I've died and gone to heaven

Hey guys!

I'm a fairly new poster here, but as a lurker of both this forum and one devoted to Sara Bareilles, I have a small suggestion. : )

The fans at manythemiles put together a 'scrap book' of letters and artwork scanned/ emailed in, and presented it to Sara after a show.

Sorry if this has been suggested or been done before, but it seems like a really nice way to let VC know how much we appreciate her and how she must never, EVER give up what she does to do scores : P Also, IIRC VC said something about loving the art of letterwriting so it might be a nice effort to make a beautiful book!

Introduce Yourself / New poster! : ) *waves*

Hey guys!

I've been hovering here for as long as I can remember but what with all this ROTR excitement, I couldn't resist getting involved! It's such a great community and it's nice to know I'm not alone with my nessaholism! : )

A little bit about me:

- I'm a final year Psychology & Philosophy student in London.

- I love antiques, and I'm quite interested in the passage of time/ our mortality. Maybe thats why nessas songs resonate with me. That, and the fact I'm a hopeless romantic.

-  I like the depth of nessa lyrics (it's like poetry), and I particularly love the way her music seems to 'crescendo'. So many of her songs give me goosebumps.

- I tend to have quite whimsical music tastes, I go through phases of listening to artists on repeat, then drift away. Artists I like include: Regina Spektor, Ingrid Michaelson, Jason Mraz, Nelly Furtado, The Kooks, Eminem, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Ashanti, Schuyler Fish, Travis, Sara Bareilles, Yann Tiersen and Maroon 5. The only constant in my musical tastes seems to be VC. She's my absolute favorite, and always the artist I fall back into listening to.

- I'm a bit of a francophile. : ) my favorite film is Amelie.

- I LOVE disney & pixar. I collect sketches and production art from both studios.
