So far the track list reads as followed:

2. Willows
3. House of Seven Swords
4. Blue Pool
5. Operator?
6. Nothing Where Something Used to Be
7. Matter Of Time
8. Unlock the Lock
9. River

[UPDATE: Since Young Heart has been taken off the record. I'm wondering if the track order has changed... I can only assume Operator has taken Young Hearts place. Hopefully we will know soon!]

Creative Endeavors / Vanessa Carlton vs Sylvia Plath -Essay-
« on: November 04, 2012, 03:11:30 pm »
So for my 20th Century American Poetry class in college, I'm supposed to write an essay about a 20th Century Poet and their influence today. So i've decided to do Sylvia Plath's influence on V! They are pretty similar. I think V's a bit more optimistic though hahaha! Well, if anyone has any info or ideas for my paper that'd be much appreciated! I'll post my paper when it's fairly finished!

Happy Hauntings,
 Gelo

Creative Endeavors / In The End (Choral Arrangement)
« on: January 14, 2012, 10:14:02 pm »
This is my UPDATED choral arrangement of Vanessa Carlton's song "In the End" a spin-off of "Tall Tales for Spring" and the closing track for "Rabbits on the Run."
This arrangement meshes the two songs with the men singing the chorus of TTFS while the women sing "In the End" and the song dies away just how V intended it to, and while it's dwindling you hear the beginning sequence of the song, because "In the end, you begin again." I'm trying to get my choral director to have us do this for our Spring show. So ya it's a work in progress and feedback would be SUPER amazing!!

Hope you enjoy!

So yesterday at the San Francisco concert during Heroes & Thieves, something clicked in my head. I'm not sure what but i thought about it and it's kinda creepy (in a way).

The lyrics of the Bridge:
Give me a year or two and I'll mend my ways and see these mistakes.
When I see the truth, Darling trust me, when I can see
I'll be coming back

It took V a couple years before she started thinking about doing Rabbits. In a way Heroes and Thieve foreshadowed her return. Because she said she was lost in the chaos in her personal life and thought about doing scoring instead of another record. But maybe she finally saw the truth and now she's back!

I thought I'd share that mini-epiphany haha

Backyard Concert # 3 : Wednesday, July 6th -
A "Sister Station Show"
co-presented by KRSH & KSXY
starring Vanessa Carlton
with the Pat Jordan Band

The Backyard is located here at the Station House:
3565 Standish Ave. off Todd Road exit on 101 in Santa Rosa.
Our Backyard opens at 5:30. Music at 6.
Low lawn chairs only, please. No coolers, no dogs.
Kids welcome! Food and beverage available for sale.

An extra note, there's a typo on the website " Bring out the whole family for this special Wednesday night Backyard Concert, to hear your favorites from Vanessa and new music from her album Carousel."
What is up with people not getting the album title right! It's either "Rabbit on the Run" and now apparently it's "Carousel"....
