General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / new lyrics

Vanessa just posted a clip on Instagram Stories of some potential new lyrics. I managed to get the screengrab below.

I can see it starts:

"I want the storm
I wrote the storm
I know the storm"

But from there I'm not sure.

Any ideas?

There didn't seem to be a thread for this band/artist, so thought I'd start one...

City and Colour is a project by Canadian musician Dallas Green (originally from Alexisonfire).
His debut album "Sometimes" is amazing! And the latest album "Little Hell" is just as impressive.

General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / Heroes & Thieves import album (+ bonus tracks)

I pre-ordered the Heroes & Thieves import album (with bonus tracks) with CD Universe, and they e-mailed me yesterday to tell me that my order was now on backorder because "the item is still not available from our vendors". What the hell?? Has anyone else managed to get hold of the import version? This sucks, I want the bonus track!

silence
what does this silence mean?
is silence emptiness
or doesn it mean you're thinking of me?

laughter
what does your laughter mean?
are you laughing at me
or do you laugh out of apathy?

tears
what do your liquid thoughts mean?
are you crying because you miss me
or are you crying because you don't know better?

"I'm sorry"
what does it all mean?
are you sorry because you're not here
or are you sorry because you never will be?



Hey, I wrote this poem a couple weeks back, but it's driving me insane that it doesn't have a title!
Any suggestions?
I'm considering something along the lines of "Confusion", "Unanswered Questions" or "Questionable Intentions"; Something about all the unanswered questions that are left behind when someone refuses to talk to you (or is "silent" to you).

I wrote a piece called "Stop" a couple of years ago, but recently I was inspired to add to it.
Can you tell that part of it was written at a different time or does it blend well?
Which version do you guys prefer?

Stop

Pause for a moment.
What was in control
spins out of control
What was lost
has found its bitter end
What is sweet
Stops

Press rewind,
see life running backwards
but it's still going forwards
in reality
Watch the second hand
ticking in reverse, and it
Stops

Slow motion
Frame by frame
you pick out my mistakes
Moments blend with minutes
blurring in slow motion
Grains of sand rolling forward
Stop

Now you stop
Heart pounds like thunder
eyes flicker lightning
storm cloud shudder
the truth rains down,
pours down. it wont
Stop

General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / New Song! (premiered at the Palms, Melbourne gig)

Vanessa premiered a new song last night at the Palms, Crown gig.
from memory i think it's called "All Is Well", or something like that.
it's about how she finds comfort in feeling sad and despressed.
The first line goes "i always sleep better when it's raining".
it's a great song, has an amazing little piano tune at the start.
all i remember about the rest of the song is in that last few lines of the chorus are "i wish i would listen when you say everything will be alright. because it already is"
hope we can get audio of it soon!

p.s. she also mentioned that the thrid album is nearly finished.

Hey,

I was just wondering whether you all will be downloading Harmonium? Chances are it'll be on the net before the CD release.

I can remember with other albums I have really looked forward to, and they have surfaced on the net a week or two before the release. I downloaded most of the songs, but it made getting the album not as special, because I knew most of the songs.

Anyway, just wondering what you guys think!
