Yeah it is sad. They were talking about it a bunch on the urban radio station here today, people were calling in, etc.

WOW!! I remember september 11th like it was yesterday!! It was like the second week of school in the 7th grade and all day we were hearing rumors about something awful that happened. Then at gym class all the 9th graders were telling us but we didn't believe them. None of the teachers would tell us because they thought we couldn't handle it. Then I got home and told my mom to turn on the news and we were shocked. It was really hard to handle because I knew a lot of people in new york at the time.

God bless anyone who lost someone in the attack.

9/11

That was horrible, really horrible.

And.. I mean.. we're really close to NYC..

Luckily, very luckily, we didn't lose anybody.. but I know lots of people that did.

And I remember my grandma was going in for surgery that day or maybe the day after.. and when we went to visit her we saw all these hospital beds in the hallways.. lots of hospital beds..with nobody to fill them.. that was sad.

  i remember both the day of Aaliyah's death and 9/11 all too well.  both tragedies for sure.

i remember on the day of the 9/11 attacks i was at school, first time i heard about it was in english class, someone came in and said they had just heard about an attack on the WTC on TV, we didnt have a tv in our room at that time, and we didnt really know what to make of it, next period we watched it on tv. i remember being so afraid all day, we watched it in almost every single class, and i had study hall 8th period and i remember as the day went on hearing more and more of what had happened. then i came home, and watched the news (i was home by myself) and i was so scared because i didnt quite know what was going on and since nyc is only a few hours away from me i was freaking out. Anyways- Aaliyah and all those lost in the sept 11th attacks are remembered *R.I.P*
