Just backup all important information on the computer, make the computer go into a major crash, tell them the computer crashed, get a new one, reinstall all information, and download AIM express.  Your tax dollars hard at work.

Well, depending on how access was blocked, it could be possible to re-route your connection through another server (posing as say, a web request), then relay it to the AIM servers.  Yes, it sounds complicated, but it's do-able.

The easiest way to achieve this is to find out if either AOL or a 3rd party has made a web client available for AIM. I know there's one for MSNM.

No, you've mistaken what I suggest.  I'm saying run a type of "proxy" server , more technically known as a port redirection.
