i moved out of the house, and im "on my own" now..
« on: June 22, 2007, 01:26:59 pm »
i dont have a livejournal anymore so this is for anyone whose curious whats been going on with me. this is a pretty big thing for me so i thought i'd post about it. if you dont care ignore it i guess.

anyways, so yeah i have a job now as an office assistant at a little carpet store near my area and im renting a house with 3 other people. a friend, a girl our age we just met, and this guy i used to go to middle school with.. that part is really random lol. ive been there for a week so far & its been cool. i actually moved out because my step-dad was pretty much an asshole to me a while ago and hes really controlling so i just got sick of it and decided to move out cuz one of my friends found this house so yeah its been good.

never thought i'd move out at 21 but im lovin it  :) my parents are helping me a little so im not totally on my own but you get what i mean haha

Good for you! Living on my own has been the most awesome experience of my life to date and I'm sure that it'll be the same for you!

...I can't imagine moving out yet. Good luck to you though.

my job is my spending money, other than that I'm taken care of.

Moving out is really a growing period in your life, you learn more about yourself more than you ever thought you would.

I hope it continues to go well for you!  :)

Tell me about it man!  I did it when I was 18 and it was an experience.
I am glad you are on your own though man.  It will eventually FORCE you to be a man HAHA.....

IMO it doesn't really count until you are really on your own, financially as well as physically! I'm not there yet. I lived on a college campus for 2 years, but I didn't consider that being on my own. In fact I almost felt even more dependent because I wasn't working and my campus was like it's own little world. I definitely didn't feel like an adult there. But it seems like you just moved out to be on your own. Good luck! I haven't done that yet, but in October I'll be a wife and not only on my own, but in a new state =O

While amused by your excessive use of the word man, i must point out that Laura is in fact, WOman =)

Damn actually I didn't notice the excessive use of the word "man" until now!  Goodness!  You know I was totally confused when I read this thread because for some reason I thought this was Brian's Thread!! LOL
Sorry.....change everything to "Wo-man"  :D
