I was pretty much assigned by my church to look into a projector for the sanctuary. It's a small room comparatively, holding about 130 people.
My issue: Is 1600 lumens going to be enough to be clear in a fully lighted room where the projector is maybe 10-15 feet away from the screen? Any help would be really appreciated. The room uses standard florecent lighting, with some of those spots on rails pointed at the stage. The spots can be turned off if they are a problem.
I have found some 2000-2500 lumen projectors. Would the extra cost be justified in this case, or would that just be overkill.
Thanks in advance to all who reply.
P.S. The intended use is PowerPoint with some light video thrown in for good measure. Yes, I have already settled on a 1024x768. This info added just in case it will matter.
