Oh so true, especially for someone like me who normally doesn't enjoy female pop singers albums, it's like crazy. Can people not respect people for their own personal opinions? I like a veriaty of music.

I don't know. I have freinds who own only a few popular albums.  Among the 500+ piece classical collection.  While others own just hard bang your head against the wall music, with a few albums of softer music here and there.  Both have interesting things to say about Vanessa.  One person said she was depressing, and he was a hard core type person.  Another person, who likes mostly classical, said her music was seductive.

I find the thing which people look for, is music they can relate with and which is structurely sound.  That is why I think everyone can enjoy certain pieces of mozart, beethoven, ect.  Great music occupies in a very natural manner, the mind, with harmony on all mental levels, to the greatest extent possible.  That is why we call them Masters.  And that is why they are considered geniuses.

I know!!! My one friend acted like i was the biggest loser at first when i started getting in to VC's music. I understand exactly what you're saying!

None of my friends understand why I like her, but atleast kinda support me, well most of them do. Like when I was trying to go to nyc, all my friends were into it and asking me whether I got an email yet or not every class. lol.
But it's not just Vanessa they dont like, they dont seem to like any singer/songwriter who has a mellow type sound. They like A Thousand Miles, Ordinary Day, and Pretty Baby, atleast a little, but that's it, and they only liked listening to them when they were singles. They only seem to like rock or a more upbeat music...
Actually I think besides Maroon5, we all agree on Britney Spears too, atleast that's what we love listening to when we're all together. Either those CDs or the radio.
