Rosie I do think that it was a bit judgemental of you to think that because it looks hard and sounds hard then it can't be her, it only takes a little practice to pull it off.

I think Vanessa's music is harder than Delta's but that doesn't mean it aint any less good, although the Not Me Not I intro was a bit tricky since you need to stretch a lot.  But piano parts like Papa just blow me away!

Just because she didn't sit down and fully write out each note and lyric doesn't mean you should dislike her.

I think it was a natural reaction for me to be critical, if she doesn't write her own music then it is a natural conclusion to follow that she may find it harder to play her songs- since she doesn't write them in the first place. It may take practice to pull it off, but it also takes talent- and just because she can sing doesn't mean she can play piano. Just because you find it easy does not mean everyone else does.  I see no evidence that she actually played that part.

And yes, you'd say "i don't like britney because she doesn't write her own songs" so why is this any different? SO many people on this board makes statements about how artists should write their own music and play it too- and i know you have said things to the same effect before.

Oh please, if you had read this thread properly Scott then you would see i asked how many songs she had written. She's actually written 2- thats it. And 'co written' others, i don't call her a singer/songwriter in that case. Whatever happened to a normal discussion? Instead of you attacking me over something that i just raised as a point?
