Not to derail.... but I understand the point Rosie and the European's are making. Yes, we give the most $$$ in the world. But we don't give a large % of what we make. If you do your biblical research, it's not about how much you give, it's about how much you give relative to how much you could afford to give. Since we claim to be a Christian based nation, I don't see how we can take some Christian ideals but not all of them.

I agree... but, since the Government is not an individual and has no prospect of an afterlife, it's really a non-issue. Leave it in the hands of the churches and private orgs where it belongs... then that standard fully applies.

I missed live 8 last weekend & am watching Madonna on it now... wow she is amazing! It makes me want to see her in concert again, ahh. Madonna is awesome <3
