LINK FOR FILM IS BELOW

September 2003 I worked on a  short film en-titled "The Reader".

I've just found out that it will premier at the Dancing Goat Short Film Festival in South Orange, NJ on Octobr 2nd.

Okay...so it's not Sundance, but it's pretty damn cool.   :D

This past Wednesday, the film was part of The Home festival in NYC.

Duncan, the director, just e-mailed me and told me some very cool news.

The film won BEST SHORT FILM and the lead actress, Elizabeth Franz, won BEST ACTRESS IN A SHORT FILM.

The film also won BEST HOME GROWN SHORT last month at the Garden State Film Festival.

this was just excellent news to hear.  something i've helped out on is winning awards.

I hope to get to work on more films with Duncan.  The guy knows his shit about this business.

So this film is doing pretty well in the festivals.  This is very exciting news.

This month, the film will be a part of the Gotham City Festival.  not only that but it's attached to screen along with Tim Burton's new film Corpse Bride.   I'm hoping to get tix, but as of now they're apparently VIP only.  Gotta see what the director can do to get me in.   :)

The movie looks very good, but the older woman actress wasn't very good. From a technical standpoint, however, I enjoyed it!
