5 years...
It brings beautiful memories back in my mind... <3
Looking at you, holding my breath
For once in my life, I'm scared to death
I'm taking a chance, letting you inside...

I just got back from NYC yesterday and couldn't help but think of that day 5 years ago on MTV and at VMS. Good times indeed. So crazy it's been this long.

Wow, 5 years!
I remember being in 8th grade and begging my mom to pick me up the cd on the release date. I didn't even know why I wanted it (I never have been a cd person), but I insisted on it. Good choice by me.
I can't believe so much time has passed!

Manda, that'd be pretty cool.
I suggest Paris for the reunion! ROFL

lol I'm out then! I can't make that. Something where I won't be kicked out for not being 21...yet.

Wow.
I remember when i first heard that CD as an 11 year old.
Now today...It brings me back, and yet its a new experience each time.
Feels like being baptised.

I dunno. thats a very sacred allusion, but that's pretty much what it feels like.

I joined the O-Board either in August or September of '02. It's weird to think that I've been dedicated to an artist for almost five years. Considering how much my taste in music has grown and how much I've changed in the past five years, it's kinda weird/cool knowing that Vanessa has been constant. I guess she was the first truly good singer/aritst I ever liked.

It's all kinds of insane to me that I've been a fan for this long.  V is one of the only artists that I can honestly say I've loved for that long.  I'm still hooked, what can I say?  But wow, 5 years.  It hardly seems possible.  If only it were like the old days, but nothing stays the same, but I surely miss it.  Happy belated anniversary to BnN :D   I'm so overly anxious for the new album!

Well, it may be rare, but it's certainly imaginable.  Five years ago, I really loved Avril Lavigne's voice and enjoyed listening to her latest album, and today I still do.  I really like how much Avril hasn't changed the root of her sound.  She's still the same artist to me.  Vanessa Carlton has done some venturing, but even though she has taken lots more freedom lately, she still seems like the same artist she's always been, too.  Some artists, though, do something completely revolutionary their second or third time out, and sometimes it comepletely alienates me as a listener and possible fan.

I haven't been on here in a long time, and I'm completely out of the loop all the time, but I'm still most definitely a fan.  I just figured I would check out whats been going on with VC and now I am very excited for her new songs. I haven't seen her live since '04 so the new stuff will really be very new for me.

I'm seriously loving "The One" right now.

Cannot believe its been 5 years.
thats sooooo crazy!!
