I'm new to forums and am basically internet illiterate:can somebody please tell me how to upload a banner into my signature??

click "profile" up at the top ^^^

paste this into the box that says "signature":

[img*]http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/3589/stagelightsdb6.gif[*/img]

then delete the *s
and it should work

That's a really creative banner,Nessaholista!

I cant's seem to get my avatar up.....i think i need to convert it from a bitmap to the types supported by this site..but i cant seem to do so.....Help,please!

into the box at the bottom of your "edit profile" page that says, "link to off-site avatar" and you should be just fine.
