Liquor is effective if you're looking to get drunk, as is fortified wine, but my stomach just can't really take it. So most of the time, I drink beer. And not no pissy-ass Bud Light shit neither. I like beer with some color and flavor. Sam Adams is really probably my favorite when I eat out and when I'm at home, and I like to have a Guinness every now and again, but that's not something I can drink often or a lot of at one time. Killian's Red isn't bad either, but it gets badmouthed a lot. Newcastle Brown, that's another one that I like, but that's really a "special occasion" beer for me because that's almost not even affordable around here. Any time I use beer in cooking though, I pull out the Pabst Blue Ribbon. Probably the best advice when it comes to baking or frying with beer in the recipe is not to use anything pricey.
