 Heroes and Thieves has a nice drumbeat to it and i'm sure I can hear some christmas-type percussion [like a small triangle] but you can still hear a crack in her voice at the end of the chorus - I'm going to have to relisten to it but I think she had it sung spot on, on the second chorus. There are more violins in this song.
The only criticism I have of the album so far is that the drumming on the tracks besides Nolita Fairytale sound like they're coming from a drum machine rather than a drum set. Some of the songs like Spring Street will take me a few more listens before I can say I really like them. For now, they're okay.
This Time - Oh God yes. This is the promo version we all heard. It's all good stuff. This is a really well made track. There are some places where she sings over herself which is quite nice.
