I dont, but have been wanting to try it for a while...i think i might take a class or 2 in the future.One of my friends does it from time to time and really seems to enjoy it...

well..i am half Lebanese...so it's expected LOL :P

All real bellydancers hate it. It gives many people the impression that bellydancers are like strippers.   :x

Bellydancing is sensual, and can definitely be sexy because it is celebrating femininity, which IS beautiful and sexy, BUT it's still supposed to be suitable for a family audience. NO porno faces and pelvic thrusting!  :evil:

I was watching the 'beautiful liar' music video yesterday (for the zilionth time) and i thought of this thread....
It's like soooo wrongggg!!!!
every time i watch it i feel like strangling beyonce and shakira!
i know shakira is part Lebanese too....but still just the way they move at the end....when they're on the wall...
it looks soooo inappropriate!

and the clothes they r wearing aren't belly dancing clothes...it looks like stripper clothes...  8O
