I was thinking about it the other day, and I think the intro is important.

The whole song is about coming undone, and letting yourself "come undone", so the contrast between the long, sustained organ notes at the beginning of the song to the fast-paced piano rhythms at the end is another way in which the lyrics are reflected through the music.

I think Vanessa intended it to be like this, and that's why I can appreciate how it fits into the song as a whole

I prefer it with the intro, now hearing a version without it. But it'll do for me whenever I feel in the mood to have the song on repeat. That's usually when the intro becomes annoying for me.

When I first heard it without the intro, the drums counting in the rest of the song sounded a bit odd, but I hardly took any notice in the following listens. I think it's much better without the intro, which I found pointless. It didn't really add anything to the song. Thanks for sending it!
